Hacienda Pinilla Golf Course: This course is a 7,500 yard, par 72 course. It is located approximately 15 minutes north of Playa Junquillal. Greens fees are $105 to $125. Ask for special deals for Casa Juliana Patrons.

Beaches and Boogie Boarding: Playa Junquillal has waves just perfect for boogie boarding as well as beautiful secluded sandy beaches just waiting for sunbathers needing a dip. Enjoy long walks along the unspoiled coastline.  

Horseback riding Paradise Riding Guided Tours offer 2-hour or longer tours for riders at all levels of experience on the beach or inland. The stable is located 100m from the villa on the way to the beach. Owner/operator, Erica, will make sure that you have a horse according to your ability so that you will have an outstanding experience. Snorkeling: Just south of Casa Juliana is Playa Callejones, San Juanillo; a calm, white sand harbor that has magnificent snorkeling for both amateur and advanced snorkelers. North of the villa, on Playa Avellanas, is a tidal pool that is perfect for children or anyone who loves to explore the underwater world of the Pacific Ocean.

Sand Volleybal: Alice and Bernie, as well as various other volleyball enthusiasts are usually looking for a game most afternoons at 4PM.

Tennis: Alice and Bernie at the Guacamaya Lodge will accomodate Tennis Court Rentals. Inquire at Guacamaya Lodge for details.

Basketball: Casa Juliana has a regulation NBA Hoop/Backboard with an excellant concrete surface complete with striping for the basketball enthusiast.  It is a perfect setup for a competitive half court game!

Cocina De Sibyl Local expat and chef Sibyl Altenkirch offers cooking lessons in her magnificent home on Playa Blanca. The cost of lessons start from $50 for one person (add $10 for each additional person)
